Torres del Paine Trek - Day 10 - Completing the Torres del Paine Circuit

We woke up and it was a chilly 9° C / 48° F. To me it felt a lot colder. Two Canadians disagreed and started the day with a dive into a glacier-chilled lake. Instead of following them, we headed out on the trail.

It was a great feeling to reach the sign post at which we started our trek ten days earlier.

During lunch we debated going back up the valley we traversed the first day when we got fogged out. Of course, as we debated
it the rains returned. Undeterred, we decided to return to Campamento Italiano by day hiking the last bit and leaving much of our equipment in the tents. We made great time and the sky started to clear as we ascended.

When we returned, I was extremely happy that my foot had healed and I felt much stronger than at the beginning of the trip. Unfortunately, I passed my bad foot karma to Kirk as his feet took quite a beating.
