Laugavegur/Landmannalaugar Trek, Iceland - Day by Day Account Our final day's trek was a 15 km hike through the lush Þórsmörk Valley along a 300m descent. The day's hike wasn't difficult and the descent was kind on the bodies... That is until we had to navigate the rope ladder. The sky was clearing a little bit and we could see the massive glaciers in the distance. Those that didn't get to see the Gorge on the evening hike were treated to a similar view farther downstream, but it wasn't quite as spectacular. Given our complete lack of clear skies, we decided to at least try a One Dress, One Woman, One World shot. At first we were shooting with Jennifer's hiking hat on, but the crowd cheered for her to let her hair down. This was the shot of Jennifer tossing off her hat. We have much better images from the trip at www.onedressonewoman.com. Scroll 1/2 way down the home page and you can see the photographs of Jennifer dog sledding, floating in the Blue Lagoon, on the cliff's on Norway, and a few other images from our European adventure.
Here's the entire crew. Each participant from Joints in Motion raised many thousands of dollars to join the trek. A significant number of them overcame many personal physical hurdles to participate. Their dedication and courage is inspiring! As we continued our descent, the plateaus opening up in front of us. The story continues...
