One Dress - One Woman - One World - Zermatt Edition Those of you who personally know me, and maybe some of you who know me through my writings, know that I am crazy. Crazy about hiking, crazy about photography, and crazy about my wife. OK, maybe I am just crazy. My latest expression of this craziness is a project that started with my marriage at Easter Island. We needed to find a dress that could easily be transported halfway across the world. We found a gorgeous dress that allegedly could be thrown in a backpack, taken out, shaken out, and worn. While we didn’t store it in a backpack for the wedding, we are now taking it around the world with our travels to see just how much use one can get out of a single wedding dress. This trip’s installment is photos at the Matterhorn in Zermatt. After completing the Tour de Mont Blanc and the Haute route, 23 days of knee crunching trekking, we decided to take the tram to our photo shoot. Sadly, Jennifer was feeling a bit under the weather after our reintroduction to town food and tried to settle her stomach. She bought what she thought was apple juice and crackers. She got the crackers right. The apple juice, labeled in German, turned out to be apple vinegar. When she took a swig of it, the smell almost made me hurl. How she didn’t lose it all over the train is beyond me. Sick as a dog, I saw our photo opportunity pretty much ruined. How could she possibly capture the beauty and happiness of our wedding feeling like she did? Well, I am crazy about my wife for a reason, she rallied beyond my expectations.
