Gear Heads - Electrolyte Powder

I usually bring enough electrolyte powder to make two liters a day of fluid. This helps ensure I don’t over hydrate with water and adds a bit of flavor to water that sometimes has a less than ideal taste. It also is a good source of simple carbohydrates to help keep your blood sugar up while trekking. Which product you choose is a matter of personal preference. Just make sure you try it out on some practice walks before you hit the trail so you know your stomach tolerates it well.
