Gear Heads - Clothing Layered

Weather on treks tends to be unpredictable. Your best defense is to layer your clothing and almost never bring cotton. Synthetics and wool are superior in almost all conditions except perhaps desert climates. Having many layers allows you to add or remove layers depending upon how warm or cold it may be. Minimally, you may have a single Techwick t-shirt and then as it gets colder you may have an undershirt, long sleeve shirt, fleece jacket, down jacket and / or rain jacket.
