Gear Heads - Camera

I could write chapters on the appropriate camera equipment to capture your experience. Unfortunately, there is an evil tradeoff between the quality of your equipment and the weight of it in your pack. I carry two DSLR bodies and numerous lenses, a tripod, lens cloths, plenty of camera memory, a remote camera release, a flash or flashes, etc. The key is to get the lightest of whatever equipment will do the job. Thus I use a carbon fiber tripod and have a lighter, lower-quality camera as my backup.
